LETTER TO BDC
I would like to request assistance regarding violations of the law by STC, which appears identical to the situation that recently occurred at Elmton and Creswell Parish Council.

Please forward this message to individuals who could explain to me how to compel STC to fulfill an FOI Act request, which the Town Clerk of STC is ignoring in order to conceal the truth about taxpayer money transfers to companies and private individuals. I would also like to receive information on how to initiate an audit procedure similar to the one conducted at Elmton and Creswell Parish Council.

As in that case, the operations of the Leisure Centre bear hallmarks of organized criminal activity aimed at misappropriating taxpayer funds. As at Elmton and Creswell Parish Council, these activities have resulted in enormous and unjustified tax increases. As at Elmton and Creswell Parish Council, residents are being denied access to information that should be public.

Regarding the FOI requests – their fulfillment would provide confirmation of suspected misconduct at the STC Leisure Centre and in STC’s printing service procurement.

I am referring to two FOI requests: the first one I submitted on 28.04.2022 concerning irregularities in the use of pellets at the Leisure Centre. I was provided with partial data, after which someone at STC decided to violate the law to conceal inconvenient truths. Therefore, to this day, STC Town Hall refuses to provide me with copies of invoices for pellet deliveries and pellet supply contracts.

I submitted the second FOI request over a month ago. STC’s automated system informed me that someone read my FOI request (likely the Town Clerk or her brother). I am attaching a screenshot of the confirmation copy to this message. To date, I have not received any response, which indicates that the STC Town Clerk has again violated the provisions of the FOI Act to conceal the actual printing costs of the “Town Council Report 2025” and which private company became the beneficiary of this contract.

The disregard for the law and applicable regulations is becoming commonplace at STC, causing significant concern within the town community. Could I request assistance from the Monitoring Officer or someone at BDC in this matter? Why do questions about corruption remain unanswered?

In connection with this, I am inquiring about the possibility of initiating an audit procedure at STC, with particular consideration of the contract for pellet deliveries and furnace installation, as well as the solar panel contract.

FOI RECEIVED, BUT NOT ANSWERED

COUNCILLOR NOT FOUND, MP NOT FOUND
The last STC meeting was cancelled because only one councillor showed up. Our MP regularly hides and dodges meetings in the region and focuses on… I don’t know what. None of the STC councillors have replied to any of my emails.

I’m not giving up – I still want to interview a Labour Party politician from our region. If they’re so scared of journalists, how can they claim they can run this region, this town? I’m still trying to set up meetings with our MP, the leader of STC, and STC councillors. This week I will reach out to the “new” BDC leader.

Labour Party or Coward Party? We’ll see – election is coming, so maybe the Labour candidate will be more open to free communication with residents? As soon as I know who the Labour candidate is, I’ll try to get an interview.
