The Post contradicts itself!

If you have read my previous articles about Labour Party propaganda paper called “The Post” you know that this publication usually is a pile manipulation, crazy conspiracy theories and propaganda of Shirebrook establishment. This article is about issue 113 but I will list all of my articles about The Post below this article so if you have a moment you can review what else I found in this hilarious publication.
You should not read “The Post” to get relevant information about Council and town, because usually, editors of this propaganda publication omit the most important facts. Example? Two of Labour councillors were kicked out of Council after Shirebrook247 investigation and intervention in Bolsover District Council Electoral Team. Any information about this in The Post? Nope. Zero. Another example? New Town Hall cost way over 400 000 pounds. Town took a loan to cover this cost. You will not find this anywhere in The Post. First and only media outlet that asked and publish information about the real cost of the new Town Hall? Shirebrook247. Here is most shocking fact omitted by The Post about STC- they took a loan from BDC on a 0.75% interest rate and now they trying to refinance it in PWLB on 2.8% interest rate. You won’t find a shred of info about it in The Post. Of course, things like giving away taxpayer-owned building won’t be published there as well- you need to read Shirebrook247 to know about that…
Sadly- this is just a tip of the iceberg. Since the lock-down, many more residents start to read S247 and we received a wave of new information about Labour Party shenanigans in Shirebrook. To be honest- I work full time and just don’t have time to investigate it all. But I followed some of the new leads and I found some disturbing information. I don’t want to write about it before I speak with councillors directly: face to face on the council meeting. And I will record their answers and publish it all on our S247 YouTube channel. I think it will be more fun for all of us.
Let me underline one more time: you should not read The Post to get information. If you read it- you should do it like me- just for fun and laughs. That’s why I was excited (c’mon- its coronavirus time: I’m excited by anything that distracts me from this Chinese-born disaster) when I noticed a new issue of The Post on my doormat. This time I didn’t find in it any conspiracy theory. This time I found something even funnier- The Post contradicts itself. It’s a brilliant paradox… Let me show you.
Page 2. Political comment. More or less halfway through of the article, you can find a sentence written in bold font. It reads:
“The situation over the last eight months demonstrates the importance of the local government and local democracy!!”
Importance? That’s why STC don’t meet at all since February??? When they finally decide to meet in July, they do it not because they care about town- they were forced by BDC just to discuss the financial audit. They met in secret- without notice on the town’s home page. Till today I have no idea who was on this meeting, what other topics were discussed. Nothing.
This statement about the importance of local democracy above is obvious and brazen manipulation- our local Labour despises democracy. And The Post confirms that on page 10 in Town’s Clerk Report where you can read contradiction to statement from page 2 :
“It was decided and agreed, by members at this meeting, to suspend all council meetings for another three months (…)”
Democracy is on deathbed in Shirebrook. 20% election participation, councillors with barely 50% participation in council meetings, two or even three councillors completely ignoring their duties, other councillors ignoring questions from residents. Looks like Labour still lives in 1970- there is no internet, no zoom, no laptops. Do-nothing Labour councillors feel no obligation to fulfil their duties.
If Labour rule in Shirebrook is an indicator of how Labour would run the country- I hope they never win the general election.
Decisions about the future of our Town are made in shadows, far away from eyes of voters, far away from media scrutiny. Council still refuses to publish minutes from FEBRUARY meeting yet one of the leaders of council claims that “ local democracy (…) is the bedrock of our society”.
In the last election residents of Clowne kicked out Labour from Council. They chose new local leaders (Conservatives and Independents) who quickly become an engine for change and development of new ideas. They have monthly council meetings regardless of Coronavirus (XXI century- computers and the internet), they have a swimming pool, they have ambitious plans for the future. We have “The Post” and 100% Labour Party Town Council. Yay!
