OPEN LETTER TO LEADER OF SHIREBROOK TOWN COUNCIL

Dear Mr Smith,
My name is Sylwester Zwierzynski, and I’m the owner and editor of a blog about Shirebrook, www.shirebrook247.com. The blog was established in 2019 and published its first piece in 2020. Since then, S247 has published several hundred articles focusing on the most important people and events in our town, offering unbiased, factual, and documented information about local issues.
I’ve been fortunate to secure interviews with many prominent local politicians. However, Labour Party politicians have consistently declined my invitations, which has meant my readers rarely get to hear the thinking of local Labour representatives firsthand. I’m writing in the hope that you’re willing to be the exception — to meet me face to face and talk honestly and openly about the most pressing issues facing our town, region, and country.
You can choose a time and date that suit you. We can hold the interview in a public space such as a pub, or somewhere more private — I’m happy to rent a meeting room. You’re welcome to bring someone with you. I’ll adapt to any reasonable terms; my only aim is to show residents how the current local Labour leadership sees the past and future of our town.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss details, on XXXXX XXX XXX or by replying to this email. My blog’s publishing schedule is planned well in advance, so I would be grateful for a reply within 10 working days — but to be clear, that’s only so I know you’re willing in principle. The interview itself can happen entirely on your terms: whatever date, time, and place suit you best, I will make it work. If the timing in this letter doesn’t suit you, simply reply with what does, and I’ll agree to it.
Yours sincerely,
Sylwester Zwierzynski
