Alternative Brexit timeline

Writing political fiction is not a goal of this website but since our Council decided to abandon their duties there is nothing to write about. That’s why I’m looking for new stories everywhere I can. This time I was inspired by Boris Johnson Brexit speech (published on Channel 4 News- link below the article) after last round of talks with unelected bureaucrats from Brussels.

His words gave me the inspiration to write an article with an alternative Brexit history timeline. Let’s imagine what would happen with Brexit if the Labour Party won the December 2019 general election.

BEFORE WE DIVE INTO ALTERNATIVE HISTORY

If you interested in politics and you watched any news channel at the moment of exit poll announcement- you remember this overwhelming feeling of relief. Patriots supporting Brexit- won; Eurocrats and remoaners hating the idea of independent UK- lost. Sir Kier Starmer Brexit policy landed in a trash bin. If you can’t remember this policy let me remind you.

Labour Party Brexit policy was based on another 6 months of arguing and doing nothing (Corbyn wanted to negotiate “better deal” but in reality, this time would be used to brainwash people through media against the Brexit) with yet another referendum around May 2020. As far as I remember many of Labour politicians wanted three options on ballot: new “better” Corbyn deal; the second option suppose to be “no-deal Brexit” and third option- NO Brexit at all.

Brilliant move to divide Brexit votes and focus Remainers on one possible option supported by them.

ALTERNATIVE HISTORY

Its 5th of December 2019. 7:59 PM. You live in Shirebrook and in 2016 you voted for Brexit. You are sick and tired of Labour flip-flopping on Brexit subject. That’s why for the first time in your life you voted Conservative in General Elections. Corbyn and Labour Party betrayed you. One time too many… You voted Conservatives just to sort out this Brexit issue. You look at the clock, its 8PM, you move your eye toward the TV screen and you see this:

In an alternative reality, Labour won in a landslide.

You know it’s the end of dreams about the independent United Kingdom. There is no doubt in your mind that this 6 months before the next referendum would be used to sway the UK public into “right” direction, direction beloved by so-called elites. Elites who hate racist, bigoted, uneducated North.

From day one new Labour government dilute Brexit and seek a deal that in reality would be non-Brexit. Since left-wingers own media in the UK (BBC, SKY, Guardian and most of the other newspapers) and almost all of mass-media are hardcore pro UE- all you see that Brexit is baaad. You were lied to by Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson to believe that the UK is strong enough to stand for itself and flourish on the international stage. Labour and Remoaners don’t have to sway many- since there are 3 options on the ballot, Brexit voters will split between deal and no-deal Brexit and all Remoaners will vote for only Remain option so Second Referendum should be easier for them to win than the first referendum.

Whole December you see people like Rebbeca Long-Bailey, Kier Starmer, Ed Miliband and math genius Diane Abbot telling you- you were wrong. You are stupid, racist, bigot. The UK is weak, you are weak. We can’t handle without almighty EU. You don’t get big politics so if you want to vote Brexit- better stay home. Immigration is good for you. Diversity is our strength. Borders are racist and all of those leftie talking points.

CLOUDS ON HORIZON

January is no different but at the end of the first month of 2020 media start to mention strange sickness in the city of Wuhan. You probably don’t pay much attention to it, right? January still looks good- economy after 10 years of Conservative rule looks strong, budged deficit is small due to fiscal responsibility of previous PM’s, unemployment is record low, number of employed people is higher than ever in the history of this country. Everything looks fine. You even planned a nice vacation for June. Hiking in North Italy- sounds lovely? No? Maybe relaxing sunbath in Spain, a party-filled week at Ibiza or south of France?

Then February comes and media stop talking about anything else than China plague. Brexit referendum and negotiations slip out of news bulletins. Socialists use that distraction to hide their efforts to cancel Brexit. They still don’t know that in March…

… 16th of March to be exact, they have to lock-down the entire country and cancel all elections, by-elections and… referendums.

CHINA PLAGUE

Commies in China decided to close down all travel inside China but put no restrictions on international travel even when they knew that Covid is transmitted between people- and that is not alternative history: its truth. They allowed this pandemic to grow and spread throughout the whole world including the UK. Every single infected and dead Briton is their fault. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Another million dead bodies on the altar of communism…

Don’t you find it odd that the USA and whole Europe still fighting against this sickness yet China and all other far East countries like Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam have no infections at all? It’s like it was designed in some sick mind to target specific population…

This is not a place to speculate how and why they did it but if you remember what was going on in Hong Kong; increased worldwide outrage about concentration camps in China and losing economic war with the USA- you can see that there was a substantial reason for China communist regime to distract world public opinion from their internal problems. Hey! They have SARS and MERS epidemics in past so why not release another one? Something cooked up in a lab? Something very infectious but not too much deadly. Something scary enough to change the focus of societies in democratic World…

SECOND REFERENDUM

Politicians promised us one in lifetime referendum. But those politicians were from the Conservative Party so Labour and SNP ignore that when is convenient for them. Both of those parties want to give away power to Brussels. What a weird alliance: a socialist party with a nationalistic party. It’s like I saw that somewhere before… 

Anyway- the second referendum is postponed to May 2021. One more extra year to sway public opinion. But there is another problem on the horizon: the economy starts to crumble right after China Plague take first hit with lock-downs.

Corbyn decides to go on TV. He is so sad to cancel a second referendum. Corbyn almost cry but also admit that Brexit and Pandemic are too much for our economy to handle and he has no choice to cancel Brexit altogether.

Shirebrook Labour Party voters are once again- cheated by their chosen ones.

THE END

We are back to reality. I hope you enjoyed this little distraction from more serious articles on S247. Since STC refuse to meet in public we are forced to write about less important issues.
