Is there a “drug den” at Bracken Road?

I received a disturbing anonymous report that a so-called ‘drug den’ operation had started in one of the houses on Bracken Road. “Drug den” describes someone renting a private house to sell drugs.

Unfortunately, the reporting person probably feared someone would identify him/her, so did not indicate the exact location. Bracken Road is long. I have no idea what place he/she mentioned. Unfortunately, this is the second signal of this type. This time the anonymous resident added that in addition to people looking for common “weed”, people who look like they are “step away from killing for the next hit” have also started to appear. I did not see anything out of order in my area, but I work a lot, and sometimes I’m absent for a long time.

If a ‘drug den’ is starting to operate in your neighbourhood, it is very easy to recognise. New people are constantly entering and leaving the specific house. There is usually traffic all day, but it increases most in the early evening. If you are indifferent to this- along with the drug addicts, there will be other problems. You don’t have to play the hero- call the Police or Crimestoppers and tell them about it. If more people call- more likely that Police will sort that out before real tragedy happens. Keep your eyes open! It’s your home, your street! Not dealers avenue.

I am just a councillor. I can write something about it, warn residents, and report it to the Police (if I know the details- in this case, I don’t). However, if I receive more information of this kind, then I will act in my way. So if you are a dealer who thinks that as the Police have liquidated one ‘den’ in Model Village, you will move to another area of our town: think again.
