CLLR CHRIS KANE SCANDAL- conclusion

I started the previous year with a post about BDC launching an investigation into Cllr Chris Kane’s violation of the Code of Conduct. It took the BDC over a year to process the case, which is a scandal in itself. Despite many evasions and the noticeable dragging of the case beyond the election date, I finally managed to get the BDC to announce the investigation results.

I would like to include some images from the documents produced during the investigation. Here is the first of them:

In a nutshell- Cllr Chris Kane broke the Code of Conduct. I won. It was a Pyrrhic victory, but a victory nonetheless. All those who filed complaints against me can choke on them. Why? Here’s why:

Of course, the complaint in my case was resolved favourably for me. I am innocent. It turned out that asking questions does not violate the Code of Conduct. It amuses me that certain people turn their heads away from corruption and nepotism and have a big problem when someone asks questions about it. Well- Shirebrook has what he votes for: a Labour Party steeped up to its ears in scandals, corruption, and nepotism.

Another note: when the opposition had a councillor in STC, BDC forgot to offer training. It was even pointed out in the investigation. But when Labour won 100% seats- suddenly, BDC trained all of them. Weird.

INVESTIGATION LASTED A YEAR
The investigation was not without problems.
The Monitoring Officer, in my opinion, deliberately delayed the inquiry so that it would not be completed before the elections. At least three times I have contacted him about this issue- I have two emails where he apologizes to me for the “delay” and promises to deal with it immediately, after which…. nothing happens. Again, I sent a message on the matter, and the same happened. Finally, the Monitoring Officer began to reject and ignore my attempts to contact him. As a result, I filed a complaint against him with the Executive Director of DBC. Only then did the Monitoring Officer complete the investigation. What did the Executive Director of BDC do in this case? Nothing. She ignored my objections to his work.

Let me say this: after two years as a councilman, I think that the Civil Service is a state within a state. These people live in a completely different world. How would the Executive Director and Monitoring Officer feel if I walked into their office and started throwing their stuff and hitting their computers right in front of their faces? Would they still claim it was a “minor breach”? Or would they call the police? Would they feel safe seeing me re-enter their offices?

SILENCE IS VIOLENCE
Cllr Chris Kane- like a typical communist- introduced violence in the Chamber of STC to break up an uncomfortable discussion.
The discussion was about the Town Clerk’s family and Labour Party corruption and nepotism. Today, this is not only my opinion but also the final finding of the investigation.

Violence in the democratic process, apparently, according to the Monitoring Officer, is no big deal- it deserves nothing more than a sentence in the investigation summary. Cllr Chris Kane will suffer no consequences, even get a reward for his violence: Labour re-elected him as “leader” of the STC. Here’s a preview of what awaits the country if Labour wins the next election. The left will terrorize the public, break the law, silence opposition and give rewards to those who will be tools of politically useful violence.

There is another interesting element to this scandal: the destruction of physical evidence by the Town Clerk of STC. She claims that the CCTV system installed at the Chamber “does not record” the proceedings. This is the only CCTV system in the world without the ability to record and copy video. You have to be a complete moron to believe that.
