Burgundy bin collection problems [EDITED]

One of the readers contacted S247 about problems with burgundy bins collection. After a quick search of the internet, I found an enigmatic “tweet” from Bolsover District Council about missed burgundy bin collection dated… 6 Jan 2020, so this isn’t an isolated case. Looks like this time BDC just have nothing to say to those who’s bin wasn’t collected.
EDIT 1: After finishing this post I started to search for a picture to illustrate it and I found an article on page I never been to before about it. You can read it here:
In short: a company that collected burgundy bins goes “into administration” and BDC was forced to take collection in-house. BDC published a statement about it on the 23rd of Feb but I can’t find it anywhere. Later in the article, we can read:
“The district council emphasised that residents would not see any changes to the “burgundy-coloured” recycling bin collections and that the service would continue “uninterrupted”.“
Ups! That happened. To add a cherry on top, I found a quote from Shirebrook own Steve Fritchley.
“This now gives us that opportunity to look at the service, see how it is being delivered and see what changes we can make to improve it.”
Steve! If that is your idea of improvement maybe you should leave it alone… Please! Don’t improve anything any more!
Of course, my ward Bolsover District Councillors stay silent and invisible– Labour Party in my area has accustomed me to this: no communication with residents, no care about issues that are paramount to the development of the town, no action on things that are a top priority for the taxpayer. It is sad- but I’m used to it… Statements are being published but somehow they don’t reach those who are directly affected by changes.
Same with our Town Council Councillors– I never received from them any information, any update, any encouragement to connect with their social media accounts. It would be beneficial for residents to be informed by Facebook posts about issues like missed bin collections but… Labour Party in Shirebrook seems to ignore modern means of communication. Completely. I literally can’t find any councillor on Facebook or Twitter… Are we live in the third decade of the XXI century or are we still live in 1970 Shirebrook?
I promised my reader to take a look at it. I did. I will send an e-mail and call South Ward councillors in BDC about it. After all, in the description of their duties, you can find this:
“The District Council is responsible for local services, including planning, council housing, and rubbish collection.”
When I find out anything concrete, I will write a post on Facebook and update blog.

My e-mail to BDC and our BDC councillors:
Dear Sir/Madam
My name is Sylwester Zwierzynski and I’m writing an article for www.shirebrooknews.com- a news website for residents of Shirebrook. I received information from my readers that burgundy bins in some parts of Shirebrook weren’t collected recently. Could I have some official information about it? Should residents of Shirebrook in other parts of town expect the same problems and prepare for them? Any advice for residents with already overfilled bins? Can I get information if it is true that the company responsible for garbage collection went bankrupt?
